We must come to the conclusion that at some point in time we will loose who we think we are. Remembering the mistakes we so gracefully made, or what about the mistakes we never let go? There will be a time buried in maturity when we realize that as long as those mistakes aren't a continuing cycle in our current endeavors, there is nothing to worry about. Yet some so seldomly hold on to the things they can no longer alter and in doing so they begin to question who they are. Is this me? Is what that I've become? The answers to those questions will remain yes, but only so because you allow them too. I don't think anyone can fully say that who they are today is who they'll be forever. Knowing who you are is as diverse and ever changing as the days themselves. Everyday a new circumstance, person or thought can change who we thought we were. Is that a bad thing?
